Our Programs

Infants (6 weeks through 12 months)

The first year of life is critical and each infant is a unique individual with distinctive needs. St. Edwards Child Development Center utilizes The Creative Curriculum to support infants and provide:

  • Individual care with daily written and verbal communication.
  • Development of a trusting relationship with responsiveness to individual needs.
  • Staff who possess a loving and attentive nature.
  • Each infant’s health, happiness and well-being as our primary responsibility.
  • Caregivers are educated to provide for every stage of your infant’s development through
    encouraging language acquisition, social interaction and physical growth.
  • Provides family’s with a detailed written daily report for each infant and twice yearly in-depth, written progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
  • An individual child portfolio to document your child’s progress over time.

Toddlers (12 months – 36 months)

A toddler’s life is marked by rapid growth in language acquisition, self-sufficiency and social skills. Our program is designed to:

  • Maximize each toddler’s educational development while promoting social and emotional growth.
  • Provide developmentally appropriate lessons that introduce free exploration of our learning centers.
  • Provide loving guidance and patience as toddlers begin their understanding of socially appropriate behavior in a safe environment.
  • Promote your toddler's independence, while providing assistance with potty training.
  • Provides families with written daily communications for each toddler, twice yearly in-depth progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • An individual child portfolio to document your child’s progress over time.

Preschool/3K (3 year olds)

During this period of development, 3year olds begin to trust those outside their family, gain
independence and self-control and learn to assert themselves in socially acceptable ways. At the same time they become eager observers of their world. We provide:

  • A secure, loving and safe learning environment that provides opportunities for exploration and peer interactions that emphasize cooperative play.
  • Developmentally appropriate learning centers with materials and activities that will prepare your child for success.
  • School readiness activities in pre-reading, writing, counting, number recognition and problem solving.
  • Provides families with twice yearly in-depth progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences as well as written daily communication if desired.
  • An individual child portfolio to document your child’s progress over time.

 4K & Junior Kindergarten Programs (4 – 5 year olds)

Many pre-kindergarten children attend St. Edwards Child Development Center eager to learn. Their vast vocabulary, complex phrases and sentences allow them to express their ideas. We provide our 4 & 5 year olds with:

  • Educationally based activities in our developmentally appropriate learning centers that will prepare your child to excel in Kindergarten.
  • Opportunities to develop positive relationships with peers.
  • Daily opportunities to learn alphabet and letter sounds, numbers, quantities, simple math, early literacy and writing skills that will challenge your child.
  • We provide families with twice yearly in-depth progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
  • An individual child portfolio to document your child’s progress over time.

After School Care (5 years through 12 years old)

Now that St. Edwards CDC has prepared them for the future, we can continue that mission with our safe, stimulating and challenging After and School Days Off
program. Our School-age Program provides for your 5 through 12 year olds:

  • Staff that provides homework assistance while promoting good study habits.
  • Fun, friendships and learning that will encompass a wide array of activities
    and projects.
  • Physical fitness and healthy habits through recreational activities.
  • Exploration into the world around them.
